- Sun protection (hat + sunscreen)

Navigation
Sun & Illumination
- Sunscreen (SPF 30+)
- Sun hat or cap
- Sunglasses (UV protection)
- Headlamp
- Spare batteries or USB charging cable
Insulation & Clothing
- Moisture-wicking base layer
- Mid layer (fleece or light down)
- Rain jacket or hardshell
- Hiking pants or shorts
- Wool or synthetic hiking socks (extra pair)
- GaitersFor muddy or snowy trails
- Gloves and warm hatEven in summer at elevation
Hydration
- Water bottles or hydration reservoir (2L minimum)
- Water filter or purification tablets

Nutrition
