Table Rock State Park is the crown jewel of Pickens County's outdoor recreation scene. The park's centerpiece is Table Rock Mountain — a massive granite dome that rises 3,124 feet above sea level and offers one of the most challenging and rewarding hikes in South Carolina.

The park's trail system includes routes for all ability levels, from easy lakeside walks to the strenuous summit climb. The park's lake offers swimming, fishing, and paddling, and the historic CCC-built facilities add a sense of history to the natural beauty.

The Doodle Trail is a 7.5-mile multi-use trail that connects the cities of Easley and Pickens, following the route of the old Pickens Railroad (nicknamed "The Doodle" by locals). The trail passes through farmland, woodland, and small communities, offering a gentle and scenic route for cyclists, walkers, and runners.

Pickens County is home to numerous waterfalls, including the spectacular Twin Falls (also known as Reedy Cove Falls) and the dramatic Issaqueena Falls. The county's waterfall trails are particularly beautiful in spring, when the surrounding forests are lush and the falls are running at full volume.
