Agritourism
Chenango County's agricultural heritage is alive and well. The county's farms offer a range of agritourism experiences, from pick-your-own orchards and berry farms to farm-to-table dinners and agricultural tours. The region's dairy farms produce exceptional milk and cheese, and several artisan cheesemakers have established operations in the county.
The Chenango Valley is particularly known for its hop production — hops were a major crop in upstate New York in the 19th century, and the region is experiencing a revival of hop farming to supply the craft brewing industry.
