Quick Take
HOKA's flagship trail shoe gets a meaningful update in the Speedgoat 6 — more stable underfoot, better locked-in fit, and the same confidence-inspiring cushion that made the line a trail running staple. If you run technical terrain and want to go longer without wrecking your legs, this is the shoe.
The Speedgoat 6 introduces a redesigned upper with improved midfoot structure and a wider toe box compared to the 5. HOKA updated the Vibram Megagrip outsole with a new lug pattern optimized for mixed terrain — looser on soft ground, more predictable on hardpack. The midsole stack height stays generous but the geometry is refined for a more natural heel-to-toe transition. A new internal heel counter adds stability without adding stiffness.
The Speedgoat 6 retails for $155 and is available through HOKA's website and authorized trail running retailers. Wide widths are available in select colorways.
