Fall is the best season to visit Ocean Springs — the summer heat has broken, the humidity is lower, and the town is at its most vibrant. The Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival — held the first weekend of November — is the highlight of the year, drawing more than 100,000 visitors to the town's streets for two days of art, music, and food.

The Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival is the largest outdoor arts festival in Mississippi and one of the finest in the South. Named for the legendary Ocean Springs artist Peter Anderson (founder of Shearwater Pottery), the festival celebrates the town's extraordinary artistic heritage with more than 200 juried artists, live music, and excellent food.
